Hi,

I have a Hackint0sh build which is almost perfect, bar one thing! Airdrop.

Everything is working fine, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, Handoff and Continuity.

However, although airdrop shows in finder, it does not detect my iPhone or iPad.

Airdrop between the iPhone and iPad works fine.

All devices are on the same wireless network and my hack uses the Broadcom "AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x111) BCM43xx 1.0 (7.21.94.25.1a3)" and reports that AirDrop is supported.

This is a Tonymacx86 fresh clover 3280 installation with unique hardware ID's etc. (Thanks Tonymacx86!)

P.S. I still have BooterConfig 0x28 and CsrActiveConfig 0x3 in my config.plist - could it be related to SIP protection perhaps?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Jon.

Does anybody else have this working?

Jon.

Update:- I do!

Not sure what fixed it, probably the 10.11.1 update, but I am also now on Clover 3292.

(Oh, and my iOS device (iPhone) is on 9.1 now too... ah, but my iPad also works and it's not been updated yet... still on 9.0.2 - I will leave this comment for completeness.)

Just thought I'd try it again after the update and it worked straight away...

Only problem now is, I've nothing to fix!!? Ho hum...

I have a 100% working build :)

Jon.

Congrats on the 100% working build.

And thanks for posting back on what worked for you.

I have a "out of box" compatibility TL-WDN4800 and Airdrop doesn’t work.

[edit] I don't know much about "console log info" but I think something is wrong.

Hi Cwerdam, did you ever get this working in the end? Airdrop doesn't work for me and my Hackitosh. I've noticed that our airdrop screens are the same, as in we don't have the option at the bottom that says "don't see who you're looking for" and then, "search for older macs".

Thanks

same here. I got airdrop enabled via the terminal command that enables the wifi/ethernet airdrop, but I can only send files. I cannot receive them because my computer is not showing up on the other mac's airdrop network. I tried toggling wifi, bt, and also turn computer off and on.

I have the same problem but with 10.11.3

I have the Broadcom BCM94360CD in my hack (which I believe is the card used in the official iMac) and everything works except my iOS devices just will not see the computer in Airdrop. It worked previously for me in 10.11.1 and 10.11.2.

I have Airdrop set to "everyone" in Finder, I've tried toggling and restarting both devices, I've tried removing plists related to bluetooth then restarting. I've tried restoring iOS fresh. Nothing works.

Airdrop from my iOS device finds real macs just fine.

So what did Apple change here?!

i have same probleme with BCM94352
