AirDrop can only receive?

I'm using a BCM94352Z aka DW1560 on my Alienware 15 R3, Bluetooth and WiFi 2.4/5G are working but airdrop seems to be broken
I can send files from my phones (iPhone 7+ and X both on iOS 11) to Hackintosh but Hackintosh won't discover the phones.
Is this a known problem?

Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Might be related...
You have not created a custom SMBIOS (serial#, board serial#, etc).
Best to use Clover Configurator to do that then place in Clover/smbios.plist or copy to Clover/config.plist.

Or it is a BT firmware compatibility issue...

it has no problem in 10.12.x . I config the smbios, but no effect.

AirDrop from my Coffee Lake desktop build to iPhone X works fine. I use an Apple BCM94360CS2 in my desktop. I am on macOS 10.13.3 (17D102).

Of course it is compatible with Apple native BT hardware...
This thread is regarding various BT on BCM94252Z (not used by Apple).

Fitting BCM94360CS2 in a laptop is usually a challenge.

I just tested AirDrop from my Dell Latitude 3450 (w/ DW1560) to my iPhone X. Again, worked fine with no problems. Laptop is running macOS 10.13.3 (17D102).

I think there must be a configuration problem with cdqrain's laptop.

Check to see which BT controller you have. You likely have a different one... Various BCM943252Z come with different BT controllers.
