After Updating to 10.13.5, Black Screen

I have this weird issue since i tried to update to 10.13.5, i cannot restart the system. When restarting i get a black screen with a cursor, i have waited for ages but it wont restart (thus wont install the update either)

anyone have an idea how to sort this?

Same problem. Let the machine run overnight but still no restart. I have to manually power off.

@asteve1000, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard, CPU and iGPU or Graphics Card.
If you have a prebuilt computer enter make and model instead of motherboard (Mobo).

Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you.
