Hope to get some help. Thanks so much!

After two days research and tryouts, I finally fixed this issue.
Here is how:
1. change the default boot drive from "lastBootedvolume" to my default drive. example " Mac OS" for me.
2. Since I'm already on 10.15.4 (I don't have a backup so I cannot restore to 10.15.3), download this update package from Apple directly. link is https://updates.cdn-apple.com/2020/macos/061-72537-20200318-4b084b78-1275-49e7-a021-ea36fa013c67/macOSUpdCombo10.15.4.dmg
3. install this update, the system will reboot twice, make sure select install data partition manually every time, once the update is finished. the "install data partition no longer showing at clover boot screen.

I had the same issue, and the updated never finished. I ended up with unbootable Hackintosh :(. Anyone know how to solve this issue?

I have the same issue, "The bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk." However it still lets me boot up fine when I manually select the correct drive from the clover startup. As with other users the Boot Installer partition is still showing in the Clover startup. Anyone able to fix this. I used Hackintool utilities, but that did not fix the issue.

Mine boots fine as well. you can use to clover configurator to set your boot drive manually. the only thing which bothers me is the install data drive showing at clover boot screen. Hopefully, there will be a fix coming out soon.

I had this problem. 10.15.4 booted fine, but left over the install/preboot volumes.

Set my default boot volume to the actual volume id in config.plist

Code:
<key>Boot</key>
    <dict>
        <key>DefaultVolume</key>
        <string>93C36D59-22C0-447F-9D4D-AC69094CC912</string>
        <key>Timeout</key>
        <integer>5</integer>
    </dict>

Then I dowloaded the 10.15.4 pkg from apple & reinstalled it. It finished fine & deleted the install volumes.

Thanks for posting, but it did not work for me.
1 - That works
2 - Your link did not work for me. I went to the Catalina 10.15.4 main tread and used the link there to download the Combo Installer.
3 - The first time there was a restart I got the NO (circle with / through it) symbol.

Glad it worked for you! I will keep trying other suggestions as others contribute.
