Advice for a Hackintosh Newbies

Hi guys,

thank you for this amazing website and all your help in advance.

I am on Mac for 13 years now and a big user of Final Cut Pro X. (MacBook Pro 15" late 2013/ I7/16Go/1T SSD and Mac mini I5 base model)

I finally decided to build my own setup with dual boot (Mac/win) to do continue my work on FCPX on Mac and do some simracing on windows.

this this my hardware for now:
-NZXT H510 for the case
-I9 9900K
-Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master
-Corsair Vengeance RGB pro DDR 4 32gb (4x8gb) 3200MHz
-(Samsung 860 QVO 2TB + 980 500Go M.2 NVMe) for win
-(Samsung 980 1TB M.2 NVMe) for Mac

What I want as graphics:
-AMD radeon RX 6800 XT or RX 6900XT according to compatibility

What I should add for the build to be stable, is there a wifi 6 and last Bluetooth for (continuity, iMessage,facetime) ?

is the OS X 11.3.1 stable or do I need to go for older version for Final cut work flow

MacOS Big Sur 11.3.1 does not currently support the RX 6800 XT or RX 6900 XT, but the upcoming Big Sur 11.4 (currently in testing) supposedly does :

macOS 11.4 adds support for AMD 'Big Navi' 6800, 6800XT, 6900XT | AppleInsider

Apple released the first developer beta of macOS 11.4 with the ability for Intel-based Macs to connect to GPUs that use AMD Navi RDNA2 architecture.

So you will need to wait until Big Sur 11.4 or later is released to get a RX 6000 series card to work correctly. I think you will need to consider and watch whether Big Sur 11.4 will be stable enough for your work. Currently we have no idea about that.

A friend of mine can lend me a used GTX 1080 titan, can I use it with OSX 11.3 or older OSX if not, thank you again for your precious help.

Minimum OS for Pascal graphics is 10.12.4 with the appropriate Nvidia web drivers.

Thanks for your reply, it is 10.12.4 and above meaning, can I use with 11.3.1 or do I need to instal 10.12.4. Sorry if my question sounds stupid, I never did that before it will be my first hackintosh if I managed to do it

Thank you for the fast reply, so I will instal 10.13 the last update of Sierra to use the titan gtx until there is a support and stability for rx 6800 xt or 6900xt to pass on 11.4
