Advantages of headless graphics

As above what are the actual advantages? my system works great (I think) with the IGPU switched off and I do wonder if it aint broke dont touch.
 
If you do not have IGPU activated, there is no need to do anything. Headless tells to the OS that no output can be done via the IGPU. So it will use most likely the GPU when possible.
