Adding a HFS+ Hard Drive to a Running Hackintosh

Hello,

I have a Haswell-Refresh build that is running smooth so far.
I would like to know if anyone has experience adding/migrating a working HFS+(MacOS X Journaled) storage drive to a Mavericks build.

In my particular case, I have a Seagate Barracuda (3TB) inside a year-old external HDD enclosure that I want to use as an internal storage drive in my new build. The drive has been running flawless with my MBP and has 1TB of personal data. It was formatted HFS+, GUID and 1 Partition.

When I added the drive via the SATA port and booted up, OSX gives me an error that tells me to format the drive. In Disk Utility, it is recognized as 'disk1s1" (Master Boot Record) and it is not mountable. I suspect that the problem is either the Mobo/BIOS or OSX is not reading the GUID Partition Table on the drive and is unable to read the stored data.

Is there a workaround so my system reads this drive as GUID Partition Table drive, and be able to access the stored data?
Or, is formatting the drive the only way?

(So far, I tried both Intel and Marvell SATA ports and messed with settings in BIOS but with no luck.)

Thank you all in advance.

System Configuration:

i7 4790K
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H
OCZ Vertex 460 240GB (This is the Boot drive for Mavericks)
Seagate Barracuda 3TB
Crucial Ballistix Sport (x1 8GB Stick as of now)
ASUS GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5
