Hey guys, I'm in love with my mini-itx but I have to say I wish it had at least another pcie slot. Moving on...

My problem: I need to use my oldschool audio interface Focusrite LS56 that uses FireWire. :banghead:
My system: H370N-Wifi; i7 8700; 16GB; RX580

I have already implemented wifi+bluetooth through M.2 connection with this method: 1) M.2 M to A+E with usb header ; 2) Apple Module Card to NGFF(M.2) ; 3) BCM94360CS2

My board has a second M.2 and now I'm planning to add FireWire :D

So here are the possible scenarios: this adapter or this one with a firewire card (like Startech). They need to be low profile because its upside down in the motherboard :thumbdown

Anyone with experimental experience with this crazy things? Appreciate any help :)

Cheers, Kevin.

It does work! If anyone need any info, just ask...
The riser card is now inside the case and a firewire cable runs out of the case xD

Hi Teychey, it worked out of the box. It is not elegant, nor practical but it works.
If you buy the adapters I mentioned above, they will work.

Thank you!
