@xenophex

I have good news. I managed to get all of my SATA drives showing and install high sierra with basically everything working except wifi. I will use a USB wifi in the mean time.

Step 1: Open clover configurator
Step 2: Tab AHCI -> FixSata and in the section below it Drop OEM SATA.
Step 3: Install this kext that I modified. It's rehab man's kext originally.
Step 4: Win!

Also, to fix the random crashes just after the bootloader, tick slide=0 as a kernel boot flag in clover configurator.

This took me 4 days to figure out. Finally got it. Hope this works for you too. As a side note, I have the G792 17X but I assume they run the same rubbish bios in any case. I can also drop you all the EFI folder that I used if you want to.

Thank you Raboebie, your modified kert successfully made the hard drive appear. But the solid state drive is not shown.

Could you please share the whole EFI folder? It has been difficult for a newbie.
Thank you.

I gave 10.13.4 a whirl and I am using a ADATA SSD external USB 3.0 drive (same as prior). I got the USB to stick thru the boot, and disabled clover from rebooting on panic. Problem is they display so much logging it pushes the panic off screen, but I bet that it was USB so I made further USB edits to my config.plist. Now, it goes further but is rebooting about the time I'd expect to see the login screen with no clue as to what went wrong.

I adjusted my profile to a MacBook Pro 14,3 vs a Mac Pro 6,1. Also tried a iMac but I feel like maybe its the Nvidia side of things now but I can't be sure. I tried nv_disable=1, the NVidiaGraphicsFixup.kext, lilu.kext and so far no joy.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

Ok got it, 10.13.5 working about where I had it before. I had to use a iMac 18,3 Profile. I was unable to use the SATA RAID kexts posted previously, but I'm still off a USB3 ADATA 256GB SSD. Nvidia Web Driver installed and I got multi monitor support, bluetooth, LAN, and sound. I think NVMe is natively supported now in High Sierra so I'll play with that more. Both drives are NTFS anyway currently. Since we can't set AHCI in the bios its going to take more research.
Also notice with the latest BIOS clover doesn't always fully load the first time. Works every time after a CTL+ALT+DEL.

Thanks for the help.

I don't see a question.
And your profile is not filled out as per FAQ.

Apparently Nvidia announced a possible driver for the 10 series cards in April 2017 so that will possibly solve that.

I haven't spent any further time trying to track down Wifi or SATA/DVD
LAN, Bluetooth, Sound, USB, Keyboard/Trackpad work.
