So, I recreated SSDT-UIAC-ALL.dsl but it did not have any affect to it. Then I noticed that my port-count is incorrect. I had counted the ports instead of setting it to the maximum port address... Well, I changed this. I set it to 13. SS01 now displays correctly, but I get kernel panics every 2 minutes. Any ideas why?

example panic.

You're using the minStolenSize patch. Bad idea (instability expected). Set DVMT-prealloc in BIOS as required, remove patch.

Unable to change DVMT-prealloc. Bios somehow protected. Error: 0x0000000000000008. Any other way?

Try efivars method (use search/google to find it). Otherwise you'll need to find a way to unlock BIOS.

Personally, I would not purchase a computer (for hack purposes) that doesn't have the setting directly in BIOS.

Hi!
Have you made any progress with your laptop? I just got a model similar as yours but I can not get the battery status nor the brightness keys to work.

I didn't need anything else than rehabman's battery kext to get my battery status to work.
I just need to change my dvmt-preallocation to have more stable system. Otherwise it's working perfectly. I'm currently in progress of unlocking my bios to be able to do that. Right now I'm waiting for my bios flashing tools to arrive.

Strange, I didn't have these instability problems, except maybe some artifacts in the menu bar.
I was pretty sure I installed the battery kext though. I'm currently doing a fresh install and I'll see if everything goes ok.

Edit : Everything is good now ! Just the appbar bugging often, and one glitch at the apple logo when the computer starts.
I'll see if I can get anything to change the DMVT-prealloc.

Hi, I have the same laptop as you, except that that its using intel HD 520 instead. Can I have the kext and clover patches you are using please? Thank you!

Follow Rehabman's guides and you will have it working in no time. I don't think its good idea to share my files as they might differ from your machine's requirements.

Hello there,
i don't know if i'm better off creating an own thread?
I have the exact same laptop and got El Capitan running after some trouble. Some things still needs to be patched.

Any how, did you or some one else managed to successfully boot up Sierra on this particular laptop? Using RehabMan's (kudos all the way!) plist for the Iris 550 and FakePCIID.kext & FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext the kernel crashes as seen on the attached file. Or should i wait a little longer for 10.12.2 to let Skylake be supported natively via the new MacBook Pro models and try again?

Thank you and best greetings!

Same crash happening here with the latest build available to download. Waiting for 10.12.2 right now and hoping for the best.
