I am planning on ordering this laptop but before I go ahead and do it I was wondering if anyone thinks it would be possible.

It has an Intel core i5 4210U at 1.7GHz (Turbo boost at 2.7GHz)
an NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M
8GB ram
more info here: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model-datasheet/NX.MNVAA.002

I have never owned an acer so I don't know how compatible they are
I am also very inexperienced in Hackintosh stuff

And another thing I have never owned anything mac related so would I need to buy a snow leopard dvd and start from the bottom

Definitely possible...

I assume it has HD4400 and Nvidia... (optimus)

But you should read here to have an idea about what you're getting into: http://www.tonymacx86.com/laptop-compatibility/106791-laptop-compatibility.html

Yes, but just because the CPU has the capability, does not mean the OEM enabled it... Something to check into.

But as with the other question I had to I have to start all the way from iboot snow leopard or is there a newer point I can start from.

You can start directly at Mavericks if you have access to a Mac with which to download Mavericks from the Mac App Store.
