thanks man got everything working now. system running 5-6 degree cooler without nvidia graphics.
i have a question for a better understanding for future builds.

so i applied all the patches you mentioned in your graphics guide assuming that patches mentioned in config.plist under ACPI/DSDT/patches will apply to DSDT in CLOVER/ACPI/patched during boot up and the updated DSDT will be used by CLOVER thereafter but it didnt disable my nvidia card so i followed the process mentioned below. sorry for being this brief.

i followed the guide you have linked in your last reply and applied the patches but it always ended up disabling/stopping voodooPS2Controller kext from working so i kind of gave up and decided to follow your graphics guide only.
I applied all the patches you have mentioned in your graphics guide and then checked if it resolved my graphics issue but it didnt so i opened my config.plist and applied all the patches mentioned under DSDT/patches to my DSDT and SSDT-8 so now my DSDT had the patches from your guide and patches from config.plist and also graphics disable patch and finally it got my nvidia disabled.

If you have a specific problem with a particular configuration, you must attach PR files using gen_debug.sh.

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/
Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

1. Sleep doesnt work and if i leave it for long time then it might fall asleep sometimes but wont wake up, have to use power button atleast couple times to shutdown.
2. Nether HWMonitor nor iStat show fan readings.
FakeSMC_LPCSensors and FakeSMC_GPUSensors never load.

"Problem Reporting" files are incomplete (ioreg missing).

Not expected unless you reverse engineer how the fan speeds are obtained from the EC (or other) and write special code in ACPI to get that data to FakeSMC_ACPISensors.kext.

it is there with the name ioreg.ioreg. anyway i have included it as a separate zip as well inn case theres something going on with my last zip.

I am using a usb wifi but i have tested sleep without it (uninstalled the driver and removed the entry from network preferences) as well but still same issue.

so thanks for clearing up the second point.

See it now... must have overlooked it.

Your ACPI is not patched correctly (why on earth did you remove the entire definition for XHC?).

See guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.232984/

yeah i know. I tried a log command :
log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason"
and it showed me :
2018-09-21 01:51:21.112279+0530 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) Wake reason: PWRB XDCI XHC (User)

so i commented out all three.
there's a backup folder in CLOVER/ACPI/patched which contains my last good dsdt. No crazy experiments in that.
By the way is there a way to know if i patched the ACPI correctly ?

I have attached new "problem reporting" files with good dsdt (IMO) .

You need to stop using USB WiFi. Replace incompatible built-in WiFi hardware with supported WiFi.
See FAQ:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/

Also, your USB configuration is wrong. Refer to the USB guides linked from the FAQ.

Also, you forgot to disable hibernation. It is covered in the CPU PM guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-native-power-management-for-laptops.232994/

I will buy new WiFi hardware once my hack becomes stable.

I think my USB configuration is ok now as ioreg showing two new entries under AppleBusPowerController, i have no idea.
I generated these problem reporting files after uninstalling usb wifi and then restart but issue persists.

by the way my ACPI is patched ok right ?

I think you're trying to put the cart in front of the horse.

Still wrong.
See guide:

I've seen unsupported PCIe WiFi hardware also cause problems with sleep. Remove or replace it with compatible hardware.

by the way my ACPI is patched ok right ?

You should not apply patches to that already done in config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches (it just causes more diffs to sift through).

And you still forgot to disable hibernation.

Fingers crossed.

yeah you are right and i will do a fresh install and do the things right way but as of now i am hoping i am not too far from getting a decent working hack.
just trying to avoid putting that much effort again and end up right where i am at the moment.
