AC Wifi, is there a reason the build guides don't include them?

I was looking at the suggested wifi card in the build section for my Sierra hack, and I noticed that the next level card, the TP-Link AC1300 with AC wifi, wasn't suggested. I looked to see if AC wasn't supported on OSX but it was not the case. Is there a reason that only N speed wifi cards are suggested? If there are support issues or bugs I'd like to know before making my choice.

You can use any of the wireless AC cards from the Buyers Guide. If it's listed there it should work.
