A fix for Bluetooth wakeup (new kext for firmware upload)

I figured. Any suggested links to a possible USB fix? Board is a ga-h77z wifi.

Have you tried disabling "Wake on USB" and/or "Wake on LAN" in BIOS?

Otherwise you are probably better off posting in "Desktop Support"
 
There doesn't seem to be a wake on LAN maybe a bios update will fix. And I'm not sure I've seen wake on USB. Do you mean wake on USB keyboard or mouse? That could be a possibility. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try those and reply if it fixes.

Thanks for the kext! It works great with my AR3011 bluetooth(of an AR5B195 mini card) on Mountain Lion. But after I upgraded to Mavericks, bluetooth doesn't work. I tried RehabMan-Atheros-2013-0918.zip. If I install the release version, system can find the bluetooth adapter, but cannot find any new bluetooth device. If I install the debug version, system cannot find the bluetooth adapter, the log is:

Is there anybody using AR3011 on Mavericks? Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

AR3011 works on the ProBook with the same kext (AR5B195 combo card). Looks to me like you have some sort of USB problem.

Hi RehabMan,

Thanks for your reply. I have installed latest GenericUSBXHCI.kext to enable USB3.0 port. I deleted GenericUSBXHCI.kext after I read your reply, but AR3011 still doesn't work.

Could you give me more hit? Thanks!

Your USB problem is USB2 (EHC) not USB3 (XHC). Are you using -gux_defer_usb2 kernel flag?

No, I was not. I added the flag after I read your reply, it still doesn't work.

I just noticed that here is the board of HP ProBook. I am not using HP ProBook. I have a DELL XPS 8500 and replaced the original DW1703(AR5B225) card with an AR5B195.

Do I need to modify IOBluetoothFamily.kext or any other kexts?

No. Your issue looks to be USB related. Have you tried a fresh install?
