So, this drive is available at Rakuten NOW (which means, not for long): https://www.rakuten.com/shop/adata/...2gw&siteID=OEu024dtHXs-mdS0JSuDdIxbIacCF372gw

You have to apply the code: BF20 to get the discount

The drive is an XPG SX8100 from Adata. It appears to be a good drive. How do I know? Because I have the 2TB version, which, for the last three weeks, has been great, and really pretty fast (3280 read, 2800 write on Crystal Disk). Even faster than my HP EX950. If you buy one, you really should get a heatsink for it, as the one provided just doesn't do the job, at least it didn't for me.

Are there risks? Sure, it's a really new drive, and there aren't a lot of reviews out there on it. But, Adata is an established company (not perfect, I admit), and the older and more mature XPG SX8200, which I suspect is a bit faster, has had great reviews.

But, $80 for a fast 1TB nVME drive? Yes, I just bought another one.....so, if these are turkeys, I've got two of them......gobble, gobble......(but I don't think they are....).
