EDIT: 2x 7970 CF: Will my build work (+1440p display advise)?

Hi guys,

I'm a total newbie here and pretty excited about the whole hackintosh thing
Before spending a great deal of money I need your advise!

My plan is installing both Win 8.1 and Mavericks in a dual boot configuration. The build will be for professional photoediting (MAC OS @ srgb ~100%) and enthusiastic FPS-Gaming (WIN 8.1, goal: Battlefield 4@Multiplayer@ultra@1440p@min FPS 60).

Here's my idea:

2x Samsung SSD 840 Evo Series 120GB (1x Win, 1x "X")
1x Seagate Barracuda EcoGreen F3 1TB (old PC)
1x Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB
1x 4770k @ OC
1x Scythe Mugen 4
1x Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC
2x R7970 Lightning Boost Edition
1x TeamGroup Elite DIMM Kit 8GB, DDR3-1333, CL9-9-9-24 (2x4) (old PC)
1x LG DVD-burner (old PC)
1x LiteOn iHOS104 black, SATA, bulk (-37) (i have the software)
1x be quiet! Dark Power Pro 10 750W ATX 2.31
1x Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl

And what do you guys think about the new iiyama ProLite XB2779QS, 27"? Anyone any experience with this one? Seems to have a great colourquality and a decent gaming performance? Great deal for my requirements and display budget of €600?

Can I connect the gpu and the display via Minidisplayport (GPU) - MDP-DP-Adapter - Displayport Cable - Displayport in order to get 2560x1440p @ 60hz (maybe @ 60-80hz, if it the display will be able to)?

Edit: THANKS for your help :D

Please forget the "7990" in the title. I already figured out that this one is definitetly not supported :p

But please guys, pls help me and tell me if this setting is ok?!
