500 GB SSD Boot Drive for the price of a 500 GB mechanical drive

It's been a long wait to see this. SSD prices getting close to what a mechanical drive of the same size costs.
$58 for a Crucial MX500 at Newegg and $55 for a 500GB WD drive. Way better than it was 7 years ago.

Yes, I know that. I'm talking about replacing a boot drive. Not a storage drive. Some people still boot from a clunky, slow mechanical drive when they can easily get a 500 GB SSD now and really speed things up.

I created a bootable backup on a HDD partition yesterday and did a test boot. After years of booting from SATA SSD and now a NVMe SSD, there really is no going back.
