I have a Vizio. Full UHD is turned on.

I’m currently running the MacPro6,1 definition. What do I need to change to to enable 60hz?

Ty!

(updated my sig to closer reflect my system)

PS - I have the Club3d DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, doesn’t work with Mojave.

GOT IT! And of course, spent days trying to figure this out, gave up and posted and promptly figured it out.

I never saw any of this covered anywhere so I figure I will go ahead and share. Assertion: Club3d or some other active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. This doesn't work without it (tried). Assuming you have a 4ktv, you also need to turn on Full UHD on your display (check the Input Settings via the remote).

Open Display System Preferences. Hold down the Option key, click Scaled. You'll see a new item, click 'Show Low Resolution Modes'. You'll see a new item, 'Refresh Rate'. Select 60hz and you are good to go!

This is an old post but thank you for this!

Now I have my 5k monitor running buttery smooth on my Vega 64!!!
