well yeah if you chose 4k on a 4k display its going to show 4k
When you say it renders at 4x the resolution, yes thats what i'm saying - that the x and y resolution are 2x, and of course that means there are 4x pixels.

That is why I upgraded my card from RX560 to RX590 and now I can use PyCharm and PHPStorm at scaled resolutions with smooth scrolling
