I do have a few questions. The article does not mention much about DVI. As a Hack user, I would like to know more about DVI in regards to the new 4k and 5k displays. Is it an aging interface? How does it compare to the current and new versions of HDMI and DP that are on the horizon?

Most of what I read in conjunction with that article makes me say that DP 1.2+ is the way to go because of it's ability to support 60Hz. HDMI can support 4K with a card that supports HDMI 2.0. Both would require new cables that support the new density/resolution. For professional applications, support for 60Hz is a must.
