Hello,

I want my PC to work at 4k @ 60hz. But at the system settings I am only limited to 30hz..

What I use:
i5-4670k
Asus Maximus vii Impact
8 GB Ram
Samsung 120GB SSD
GTX 1070
Samsung 40 inch 4k TV
Installed the latest Nvidia Pascal drivers which work fine.

What I tried:
- HDMI to Tv doesn't give me the 60hz option
- Club3d Displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 adapter does not give me the 60hz option either.
- Tried to mess around with SwitchResX, doesn't do anything at all.

Note: My tv absolutely supports 4k @ 60hz because Windows 10 recognizes it fine.

Can someone please explain in plain English what I need to do to get this to work?
Thank you so much in advance.

@Replicah, please update your profile (personal details) with your build (Motherboard or Model, CPU and Graphics Card).

I added it. Do you have a solution to my problem? Thanks.

Really no one who knows how this is done?

The hdmi 2.0 in macOS is crap.

Try to use displayport to hdmi adaptor, so you use the Dp of the card

Check the settings on your tv and look for enabling some sort of ultra had or 4K on it. My tv had this setting and I'm hoping that's been my drawback this entire time, just waiting on my club 3D and my new hdmi cable to test. Make sure you're using the display port adapter as well as a certified HDMI 2.0 cable.

I am using the adapter. Does not make a difference
