Guys, look what I've found today:

This is info.plist from the AirPortBrcm4331.kext plugin. Looks very promising :) It seem that the BCM943224's ID (aka Dell Wireless 1520) is already supported by OSX, as well as BCM94322 (pci14e4,432b or Dell Wireless 1510) and in theory rebranded BCM943224 adaptor (ex. rebranded Dell Wireless 1520 with the HP's Subvendor/Subproduct IDs from the whitelist) should be recognized as native AirPort, right? Or I'm missing something?

I'm not sure how much room you've got in 4330S but in 4530S I can onfly fit half-size card. I tried to rebrand 14E4:4315 couple months ago without any luck. From what I'm reading it's only possible with full size mini PCIe.

BCM943224HMS could be nice solution for people wanting external Bluetooth dongle.
I already waiting for one and when it arrives I will confirm VID/PID numbers.

Here are HP part numbers for Broadcom BCM43224 half-size WiFi card:

Old PN:
518434-001 USA, CANADA
518434-002 Rest of the world

New PN:
582564-001 USA, CANADA
582564-002 Rest of the world

Disclaimer:
Cards need to be tested and confirmed working. I searched HP laptops for subsystems 103C:1509 103C:1510 and came up with above part numbers.

HP ProBook 4330s have no more room than 4530s/4730s. It also works only with minicards.

I'm not sure about that. Here in this post's comment there is someone, who claims that he has rebranded Dell Wireless 1501 - that's BCM94313 minicard (which is also included in our whitelists). I saw such posts in other forum, one more for this card and one for Dell Wireless 1520 (BCM943224) - that's minicard too.

Anyway, you're right about one: :)

That's why I've just ordered this one and I'll write more about this, when the card has arrived (which will be a little more than a month, it's a long way between China and Bulgaria). :)

P.S. The only thing that can go wrong is, if there is a Subvendor whitelist in the binary driver - then both of us will get a cold shower :D

I've got an infamous BCM94313HMGB 14E4:4727 card HP part number 600370-001
It passes whitelist screening, Bluetooth works out of the box but no drivers for the WiFi part.
If you know any Dell card that is a WiFi/Bluetooth combo and could be rebranded please post more info here.

My BCM943224HMS should arrive before the weekend. I will post more testing details as well.

I ordered 518434-001 and I'm 99% sure that subsystem matches too. We'll see. :D

The only Broadcom combo solution that may work (both accepted by OSX and the laptop) I think is the BCM943224 combo variant - BCM943224HMB. This is basicly the same BCM943224 WiFi minicard, but with Bluetooth 3.0 module onboard. That's all I know about it (yet).

I'm curious, can you tell me where you've ordered your BCM943224 card?

P.S. You know, I've changed my mind in the last moment and I've ordered this one. It should be 582564-002, as it's written in the description. I've also ordered one of these, used adaptor, perfect for rebranding experiments. ;)

Thanks for the info about BCM943224HMB
I will do more research on it and perhaps buy a card too.

I ordered BCM943224 from one of the ebay sellers in the US.

and this is what I got to experiment with PCIe cards.

is this the one you ordered?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-half-BCM943224HMS-bcm4322-wireless-n-card-518434-001-/130464053640

i don't care much about Bluetooth as long as i can get trouble free wireless N connection i would be happy.

Yes, that's what I ordered.

I would advise to wait a day or two to make sure it's working with OS X. I see people complaining about Broadcom half-size cards to have different components than full size card even with the same chip number or driver may support B/G speeds only.

Here's Macbook Air BCM943224 card for comparison

Hey guys! I ordered the SPS# 582564-001 BCM943224HMS and I get the BIOS disabling it. Is there anything you would recommend I try?

Can you provide more information about the card - where you've got it (local dealer, HP, eBay), Vendor/Product and SubVendor/SubProduct ID's... Because there are many sellers in eBay, claimed that they sell "some thing", but when we got the "things" from them, often they are far from the item's description in eBay.

P.S. Damn, you shouldn't have got it, before someone has confirmed it working (me or BigDonkey).
