I have been running El Capitan (10.11.6) for 4 years with only minor issues.
Now more and more programs are starting to drop support for older operating systems and I am forced to update.
Can I update straight from the app store?
Are Nvidia drivers supported?

I am running a dual boot Mac/Windows on two different SSDs, I am afraid updating might interfere with the bootloader.
System definition is iMac late 2013 (iMac14,2).

Any help is appreciated

I do the same thing on my HP 800 G1, one SSD is for OS X Catalina and the other is Windows 10, I just remove the windows 10 SSD, update and or install Catalina and CLOVER or OC, get everything working solid and put the Windows 10 drive back in. All good, it defaults into booting to Catalina but if I want Windows 10 I just quit Clover boot loader and its starts up Windows 10..

Thanks. Is your bootloader recognizing the Windows partition and does your Clover have the option to boot Windows? Or do you need to select the Windows drive from the BIOS each time?
Right now Clover gives me the option to boot from both Windows and MacOS.
One more thing, is the hardware supported in the new MacOS? Did you have to update kexts?
Thank you for your help
