Hi there,

First of all, i'm new in this.
but I want to make my own video editing / gaming pc / hackintosh.

QUESTION 1
___________
first I have a question about hardware compatibility.

I want to use:

-CPU = intel i7 4790K
-CPU Cooler = CORSAIR h90i
-GPU = MSI Global N760 TF 4GD5/OC
-Motherboard= Asus Z97 Deluxe
-PSU = CORSAIR RM650
-Case = CORSAIR Carbide 400R
-All HDD = WD Black
-RAM = CORSAIR Vengeance LP 16GB DIMM DDR3-1866CL10

is this Compatible with Hackintosh?

I already have the GPU & PSU from a previous PC

-1 hdd = windows 7

is this possible? And can i use than a boothloader like Chameleon Bootloader to select each start up another OS? and acces from each OS the HDD "Files"?

I ready don't want to put everything on the same HDD! That is not an option ;)

This should all be perfectly possible. I suggest that you read some of the multiBooting advice available. Using several different operating systems on a single computer can be a complex minefield as these operating systems all want to be dominant over each other. Not all file systems place nice either, so do your preparation, make your notes and good luck with your build.

The problem that I have with this type of system is that the un-used drives are sitting there with power on them and not being used. And in theory the probably of failure goes up with each drive added.

So I have mitigated this precieved problem by using a 5 drive Icy Dock. I the drive not currently being used un-plugged but sitting in the their slot.

If you go this way, you can have a native boot to each OS. The dirve that you call files is a nice concept but will have to be FAT 32 or the like so that each OS can see it.

And if you want to see my implementation, Search on "Tower Of Power".
