343.02.02f02 NVIDIA Alternate Drivers + Security Update 2015-002 = Broken

It seems that 343.02.02f02 is broken with the newest security update 2015-002 for Yosemite 10.10.2 that was released today, March 09, 2015.

Yup. If you go into the NV presence panel you'll get a message saying OS is not compatible. The OS code changes in the security update.

How long does it usually take for nvidia to release an update? Kinda stuck with this flickering display now.

My guess is about a day or two, but yeah, it sucks to not have any sort of graphics acceleration.

Yep same thing happened to me. I don't understand why it broke the graphics if it was just a simple security update. This doesn't make any sense.

Because the build number of the OS changed. The current NVIDIA driver is only compatible with 14C109. The security update changes OS X to 14C1510.

For the record, it also breaks the alternate drivers on 10.9.5.

Damn - I usually never install updates until I check them out here first- but I figured there's no way a security update will break anything.

Wrong.

Security Update 2015-002 Definitely breaks the Nvdia drivers. Hopefully there's an update soon. The computer still works - just no graphics acceleration.

Nvidia Driver Manager says NVIDIA Web Driver 343.02.02f02 (Not Compatible)

Does anyone know how to uninstall the security update or trick the system reading the old os build number 14C109?
