2x 7970s Crossfire possible?

I currently have a ML Hackintosh utilizing a 7970 GHz; has anyone ever tried a dual card setup? Did Crossfire work?

cross fire isnt supported, but you can have two functioning video cards.

the new mac pros have dual video cards, so maybe maverick might have some kind of support (speculation)

I would figure that the two W9000s would be Crossfired... Hopefully Mavericks will add such support.
When you say functioning, does it only give me the ability to add more screens or would I see improvements with apps using OpenGL?

I thought the new mac pros were going to have dual GPUs on the same PCB? Not the same as two cards?

If anything, I currently have two 7970s running in my Hackintosh and I have seen an increase to my bitcoin hashing rate. I have the crossfire bridge in just for aesthetics, whether or not the cards are taking advantage of such I can not say...
