but if i first upgrade the bios, then will i still be able to boot into my userdsdt system?

It may not boot. In that case iBoot has helped me. How are you getting the new DSDT?

Ok. Backup first.Then I would boot with iBoot inserted and delete the entire "extra folder". Do the BIOS update. Start with iBoot and do the latest DSDT MB install with the new DSDT in the desktop. Should all be ok.
