I am debating between buying a 27 Cinema display or a Thunderbolt display to replace my 24" Cinema Display which I use with a 2012 Mac Mini. I am leaning toward getting the 27" Cinema display rather than the Thunderbolt because I could use it with a PC via Display port if I wanted to, where as the Thunderbolt would be limited to a real Mac.

What do you all think? Go Thunderbolt, or go Cinema since it has more versatility. I don't need the ethernet or firewire on the Thunderbolt, and I don't have any thunderbolt devices to daisy chain. Also the Cinema is $50 less than the Thunderbolt (550 vs 600).

Thanks for your opinions.

I use a thunderbolt display with my ga up5 motherboard. It works flawlessly but requires a lot of tweaking. It will only work with the internal graphics though.

I use the display port and everything worked just fine without any problems through the systems HD4000.
