2500K to 2700K swapout

Has anyone swapped out a 2500K to a 2600K?

Would my system function without a complete system rebuild?

Running 10.11.6

you wont need to reinstall for that, itll work fine.
bios settings might reset, and if you are using an ssdt for power management, delete it first.
