Hi, time for a new build, my 2013 machine is being retired. This is my list of components for the new build.
My big Q is regarding the Graphics card. See below and please comment.
Thanks,
JV

2021 Hackintosh Components

ASUS ProArt Z490- CREATOR ATX motherboard
Corsair Hydro Series H60 Liquid cooled cPU cooler
Ballistic 2666 mhz DDR4 DRAM 32GB
Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD
Corsair RMX Series RM 650x PSU
Corsair Carbide 275R mid tower
EVGA GeForce GTX680 Super clocked 2048mb GDDR5. (This is from my previous build - can I use it for a while? Or at all?)

What else am I missing?

Which CPU do you plan to use? I don't see one in your list.

The GTX 680 should still be usable as it is still natively supported on MacOS Catalina and Big Sur.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I thought that I had read that correctly re the 680, but been a while since I built one of these, so just checking.
Yep, forgot to put the CPU in the mix:

Intel Core i7-10700K Desktop Processor 8 Cores up to 5.1 GHz Unlocked LGA1200 (Intel 400 Series Chipset) 125W (BX8070110700K)

Maybe you know this too. I need a replacement for a corsair TX650M enthusiast, got any suggestions - its for the old '13 build

Then the new build together with the GTX 680 should be compatible with MacOS Catalina and Big Sur.

A reminder : The GTX 680 is a rather old card, so it may not work correctly if CSM (Compatibility Support Module) is disabled in the BIOS. Like what this person encounters :

And you want to replace the PSU in your old build? That GTX 680 is going to be moved to the new build?

yea, its temporary. I'll upgrade the new build to a proper GPU, just spreading out the $$ a bit. But yea, I'd like to replace that PSU.
