@ShortFormErnie I booted from a Ubuntu LiveCD and the trackpad and keyboard work OOB (forgot to try the touchscreen, silly me). Can I generate anything useful (pinning?) from the linux environment?

@ben9923 I can't generate anything other than my CLOVER.zip because I'm stuck at the install. I'll try your suggestion with lilicpu=10 and have a look at the link you provided

ok, tried following the [Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen but find it rather confusing. I replaced
<key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key><data>AAAbWQ==</data> with <key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key><data>0x3EA50009</data> but wasn't sure what to do with <key>IntelGFX</key><string>0x12345678</string> and <key>ig-platform-id</key><string>0x12345678</string> (should they match?). But then again, graphics was working before I made those changes, at least as far as the installation process is concerned.

Installation
I added lilicpu=10; not sure what effect this has had on the installation itself. Before I was able to attach an external ssd via usb-c adapter and get within two minutes of the 1st installation step finishing, as well as a usb mouse working via adapter. Both have mysteriously stopped working, so without trackpad, keyboard and external drive, I'm stuck at the select your language screen, and hit a dead end.
