Im currently looking to rebuild my Hackintosh.
I would like to reuse my old parts from my last 2 Builds.

Current Use.
MacBook Pro 13" with Retina
CPU Intel I5
SSD 128 PCI
Ram 8GB

First Build.
CPU I7 4770K
Motherboard MSI Z87M Gaming LGA 1150
Ram HYPER X FURY (4x8) 32GB DDR3 1866
GraphicsCard EVGA GTX 750 TI FTW
HHD/SSD Samsung 840 EVO 500GB/WD BLUE 500GB
PowerSupply Corsair CX 600 Watt
Operating System Windows 8.1 OEM 64bit

Second Build.
CPU I5 3570K
Motherboard GigaByte GA Z77N WIFI LGA 1155
Ram HYPER X BLACK (2X4) 8GB DDR3 1600
GraphicsCard ASUS R7 260X
HHD/SSD WD BLACK 1TB
PowerSupply Corsair CX 500 Watt
Operating System NONE/WAS IOSX MAVERICKS

IF NEW PARTS ARE NEEDED, IT WILL BE HIGHLY CONSIDERED.
BUT I WOULD REALLY NOT WANT TO IF I DONT HAVE TO.

What I have in Mind.

I want to use my old parts to build a Hackintosh for Content Creation, such as, Youtube videos, Music, and DJ'ing. Im currently using my Late 2013/2014 MacBook Pro and as im Starting to create Videos and Music the amount of ram I have isnt entirely enough. Also the processing speed is really slow. And with only a 128 GB PCI SSD I have no room to put all my files.

Can anyone Suggest a Build using my current old parts and a LINK to Installation Guide?

My concerns are that my Old Parts Wont be Compatible with YOSEMITE 10.10.2 OR even be Compatible with even building a Hackintosh.

Thank you.

The first build could probably work if you were to use Clover. the second should run Yosemite just fine with the HD4000 graphics - not sure on the AMD graphics though.

Find similar builds using the search feature and do plenty of reading. Does Yosemite support all the applications that you need to use?

Well Im using all the regular apps to do youtube videos, iMOvie and photobooth that's on my Macbook Pro. And Serato DJ for all my Music mixs. which I have a DJ Controller for. And a Wacom Drawing pad and pen for art design.

it's just that Even though the Second build is good. it still has only 8GBs of Ram which is my current problem. not having enough ram.

I've looked up a few builds and i've looked to see if the MSI Z87m Gaming motherboard would be compatible but I didnt see it on the List of Motherboards that were compatible. So even if I were to go with the First Build i'd probably have to use a different Motherboard. The fact that my first build has 32GBs of ram, I know that would be plenty enough for all my needs.

first build will work fine.
update to the latest bios version, as it should now include a cfg lock option. set that to disabled.
read http://www.tonymacx86.com/bios-uefi/143167-msi-9-series-motherboards-os-x-setup-configuration.html

all the current main board makers work pretty much the same as each other nowadays, so it doesnt matter if its a gigabyte/asus/msi like it used to.
your board uses alc1150 audio and killer e2205, so theyll work.
you can use chameleon/chimera or clover. your choice.

for your graphics card, boot with nv_disable=1 then install nvidia web drivers and restart. graphics will then work properly.

other than that, you dont need a specific guide for your build. just follow a generic guide
http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-x-yosemite-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html
adding any flags such as the nv_disable etc.

btw- friend of mine uses serato, and hes holding back on the update to yosemite due to compatibility. dunno whether thats changed, but look into it.

Thanks alot! I really appreciate all of the information. I guess i'll just wait until i find anything out about serato and it's compatibility with yosemite.

I'll probably start on the rebuild soon, if there's any problem I wont hesitate to ask.

Thanks again.

I've updated my Bios and they dont have any settings from the link you had posted.
The motherboard im using is the MSI Z87M Gaming motherboard.
With the updated bios there's no CFG option or VT-d option. So i cant really follow this guide.

The CFG option is on the 9 series boards, not the 8... You'll have to patch the bios or use Clover and let it patch it on the fly.
