200 series motherboard.

Hello,

I recently built a pc intending to install macOS Sierra. But I bought h270m matx motherboard instead of 100 series motherboard.

I did get i5 6500 CPU. I am not able to return the product.

Can install macOS with this build or is it necessary to get another 100 series motherboard.

Lots of folks are already building 200-series hackintoshes. You have to fake the CPU ID, among other configuration patches, but it's fairly straightforward. See the Early Adopters Guide Kaby Lake 200 Series and the 200 Series Testing Thread.

Since I will be using 6th generation CPU I thought that thread wouldn't be relevant to me. I will follow the steps mentioned in that article and update the thread this weekend. Thank you.
