2.5 vs. 3.5 HDD

Ok this is an odd question. I recently finished an install on a H55M-UD2H board. I first installed the OS onto a 2.5 inch drive. It never really ran correctly. Even with the userDSDT. Then when I installed onto the 3.5 HDD more items worked from the get go. Now, I am wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this while creating a hackintosh. Thanks for any responses.

You must have had a bad drive. I use 2.5" drives for both SL and Win7 and have no problems.

Hum ok. This is definitely a possibility.
