Hey, great to be here!

I am seeking for an advice. I am trying to build up a good Hackintosh for Photoshop purposes mainly, but mounting some videos as well. I am not professional, but having a great tool I think I could start doing more and experiment with another apps. Therefore I made a build using buyers guide, but I think I might made this machine too strong for my needs (and too expensive as well).

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K
GPU: EVGA GeForce GT 740 Superclocked 4GB (single slot)
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB DDR3-1866 CL9 kit
HDD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (M.2)
Case: Corsair Carbide 500R Black
Power Supply: Corsair RM Series 650W

Motherboard: I thought of this one, as the cheaper one don't have M.2.
CPU: I thought if I will get better one, it let me also start playing around After effects. And it will last longer.
GPU: I decide to have 4 GB graphic card because the difference is just around 20 euros.
RAM: I have choosen DDR3-1866 as I've read it's a bit faster than 1600, therefore better.
SSD: This one works through M.2. But I don't really know if it's that important and it seems I could save some money on SSD and motherboard as well if I would resign from M.2
What about case, those are from buyers guid, same for power supply, so I don't really know if I should look for something else.
Since I am not going to overlock now (never did that before, don't really know how does it work) I think I don't need cpu cooler for now.

I would like to ask you, if you know if I could make it cheaper, using some other brands. Or maybe it's better to spend more, but everything is going to work better?

To make this build I get through some builds of other people, making hackintosh for photoshop, or readin in general what kind of components are most important for that kind of work (here is useful link for other people).

Thanks in advance, waiting for your advice / comments / help ;)

You could save money by just using the built-in GPU on your CPU (for now) and only buy a discrete GPU card later. Unless you have a specific reason for needing an M.2 device (it sounds as if you don't), then you could use a motherboard without it. Without a discrete GPU card, you could probably also go with a smaller capacity PSU, which should be cheaper (and then upgrade later if you do buy a GPU card).

Thanks for your reply!

But what does it mean a specific need for M.2? Because I suppose it's nice to have a Motherboard that gonna be able to take most out of SSD.

I think I will wait a bit longer but then buy Graphic Card right away, so everything will be complete. I thought maybe somebody gonna give an advice for a better motherboard, cheaper one.

And yes here I can eventually think of the one without M.2 port, but since I don't really want to upgrade my set so often I think it's gonna be good to get something that will make work extremely fast.

Is there a specific use for this fast M.2 connection?
