Hello community of tonymacx86,

I love the brand apple but it's to expensive for me so I want to build my own hackintosh, but to be sure it will work before i spent money and if I can chance somethings I would like to hear that! I've got the experience with macs and pc's and i know a lot about it but I haven't build a hackintosh yet. I want to build my first hackintosh and want to spend around a 1000 euros. My own idea is based of the Customac pro from tonymacx86:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK
cpu:
Core i5-4690K
gpu:
Gigabyte GV-N960WF2OC-4GD
ram:
Crucial Ballistix Tactical BLT2C8G3D1608ET3LX0CEU (2 sticks 16GB)
Ssd:
Samsung850 EVO 250GB (i want maybe 2 so i can dual boot OS X and WiN 10)
Hdd: 1TB harddrive

Case:
I have already a case, i'm going to build it in an old mac g5 case :)
power supply:
650 watts? (not sure which one)What do i need to change or add (cpu cooler?)?

(It has to be good for school (work), gaming and expancepility.
Already a big thanks! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Your build looks fine. A couple of points to consider:

You dont *need* 2 SSD's to dual boot. Yes its easier, but not essential. A single large SSD will prob save you some cash.

PSU; loads out there to choose from, but the Corsair AX series as recommended in the buyers guide are a good series to pick. Very good performers and very quiet.

The simple answer is: "If you build it, it will work."

You will of course have to not do any damage to the cpu socket pins or any other
electrostatic sensitive components. You'll have to follow the guides to a T to
do the install of OS X correctly. So if you take your time, study ahead and do
the job well it should work quite easily. When I've installed Yosemite and now
ElCap on the same hardware I've really not even needed a single boot flag. :)

So stop worrying and start building, knowledge and wisdom only come with
experience. You'll make mistakes along the way, there is nothing wrong with that.

Not that you really need luck but Best of Luck on your build anyway !

Thanks trs96 and WonkeyDonkey for the great advise:thumbup:! I will buy all my parts as soon as possible and will start working on my hackintosh! Can't wait to build one :D

Also get cpu cooler like Cool Master 212 Evo

If you are into over cooking get corsair.water.cooling like the H100

That's a good point. You never want to overcook your cpu without having some
very good water cooling in place to keep it from getting too hot.
