Hey, has anyone got 128gb of ram working on a i9 9900K Designare build? Im planning my next build based about the 19 9900K, Z390 Designare and 128gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666Mhz DDR4 for animation and premiere pro work. I've seen a couple of posts about creating virtual ram slots in clover to split the physical ram from 4x32gb to 8x16gb to get it working. Is this the case or will it work nativaly with proper dios firmware F6 or higher. Thanks :)

It should work out of the box, but might need a BIOS update first (possibly).

The 9900K supports up to 128GB of RAM, but the 9700K supports only up to 64GB.
The 9900K only supports 128GB of RAM at 2666 MHz (good job on finding the right RAM!).

Cheers mate, Im ordering all the parts now and will post about how it goes. :headbang:

According to this :

The i7 9700K DOES support 128GB DDR4-2666 RAM (so does the i7 9700KF / i7 9700 / i7 9700F).

From Intel Ark site it also says that the 9th generation i5 processors (i5 9400F / i5 9400 / i5 9500 / i5 9500F / i5 9600 / i5 9600K / i5 9600KF) also support 128GB RAM.

And 128GB RAM (actually the 32GB RAM sticks) may also present problems. See this :

Thank you Mr Bond ( Great name ;) ) I've read over a couple of guides about setting up the fake ram slots and faking it to 8x16gb sticks. Ive ordered all the parts and will report back how it went.
