Can confirm on ASRock Z270 ITX/ac running macOS 10.13.4 that NGFF adapter + BCM94360CS2 work without any additional kexts or other mods
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirDrop, Continuity, Handoff, all working perfectly!
Only thing to keep in mind is that the NGFF adapter + BCM94360CS2 are about twice as long as the stock Intel chip, so only half the shielding/metal casing can be kept. Bottom half (closer to USB ports) must be removed by pushing one of the pins in very hard with a small screw driver. Once you remove the top half of the metal case, you can install the NGFF adapter + BCM94360CS2 into the M.2 port without issue.
