you mean fresh OSX install?
The SoundSticks worked before 10.9.1 update.

Yes. Do a fresh install to another partition for testing...

is there no other way?
I installed IOUSBFamily.kext and GenericUSBXHCI.kext from 10.9.0 but same problem.

Other USB thinks/Devices work fine just SoundSticks don't.

The one above is not correct.

FYI: This is the correct link for 10.9.1 update http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1715

well I restored from Time Machine to a state where SoundSticks where working before (10.9 from today) and I'm getting same error as after update to 10.9.1. I don't know whats wrong anymore.

Update attend to 10.9.1 from your link is working now.

It is very quick to do a fresh install (30 mins?). That's what I would do just for testing/confirmation...

Does SoundSticks have its own driver? Has the driver been updated for 10.9?

FYI: If you don't have USB3 on your laptop, changing GenericUSBXHCI has no effect. The kext will not load without a USB3 controller present.

I never installed a driver for it.
I also booted from 10.8.5 (?) from my drive where SoundSticks where working and still getting same error. Something went somewhere wrong, after that 10.9.1 update today.

I'll do a fresh install tomorrow but I lost my hopes.

But the SoundSticks where working today morning and now the damn errror:

Lost my built in trackpad with the update. Any suggestions?

You da man Rehab. Thanks, forgot all about the EC refresh. Did the trick.

Mystery solved!
It was hardware problem, SoundSticks where connected thru a remote controlled power socket so this caused some interference for USB I suppose.
