Is there a way to revert back to 10.8.4 without reinstalling the whole thing ?
If you have a backup, yes. If not, no.
Honour to get a reply from you Ok.. I'll just use my USB2.0 first then.
Hope the new drivers will come out soon.
What "new drivers" are you looking for?
Perhaps an update to the generic USB 3.0 drivers or a method to get it working again ..
Zenith432 released the GenericUSBXHCI kext (v1.2.5) for 10.8.5.. It worked at first, but unfortunately not after I rebooted. Maybe you'll have better luck!
They have already been released. My version is here: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Generic-USB3 along with links to the original Zenith432 release.
10.8.5 Update -> Revert back to 10.8.4 until USB drivers are fixed.
Yeah I managed to get that installed, it worked after I rebooted so I guess i'm lucky lol.. did you use the kextutility to clean up the cache after you installed?
