10.8.5 Bluetooth not working!!!!!!

Hi there,
I hope you will help me with some specific problem with Atheros AR3011 bluetooth.
I used the firmware IOAth3kfrmwr.kext (I think it is not loading on cold boot btw) but I can see that my VID/PID is CF3/3005 (in IOReg)

Sounds like it is loading to me. Because 0cf3:3005 is the ID it has when the firmware is loaded. You can filter for 'ioath' in system.log (from Console.app) to see whether the firmware is loading or not.

but in DPCIManager it looks like 168c:002b.

That is your WiFi PCIe ID. Totally different device than the bluetooth (which lives on the USB bus).

Yes, i checked the console app and there is nothing about ioath. Therefor I wrote it seems to me, the firmware is not loading. How can I force the system to load it?
Thank you, RehabMan

If your device is cf3:3005 at cold boot and after sleep without IOath3kfrmwr.kext installed, then your device has firmware built-in and does not need firmware loading. Is that the case?

It can be, but in 10.8.4 it was not the case. Other thing is, that i cant connect to my mouse/phone via bluetooth. System is always searching for devices without any result

Your native device ID would not be affected by the version of OS X installed.

I suggest you start at the beginning:
- remove any firmware loader you may have installed (eg. IOath3kfrmwr.kext, others)
- turn off your computer
- turn on your computer booting into OS X
- capture ioreg: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html

Compress and post your ioreg file here. That way we can first determine what the native device ID is.

Thank you very much for helping me. Here is ioreg

From what I see there, your native device ID is CF3:3005 so that means it has built-in firmware. As far as I know you can't load alternate firmware on this device. That is, assuming you have no firmware loaders installed and this is a cold boot direct to OS X from having the computer off.

I would guess that System Information is showing that bluetooth is active...
