Just wanted to get this out there in case anyone else has similar issue.
Installed 10.8.2 after reboot had no audio devices present.
Had to run Multibeast and re-install the audio drivers.

The audio is back but with a small issue: it seems if system doesn't produce audio output for some time, like several seconds, any output after that will start with a slight delay and a short noise.

Edit: Changing System Definition to MacPro fixed the issue.

My audio is down too after 10.8.2

Before I used multibeast 5.0.2 with Realtek ALC8xx -> without DSDT -> ALC 888b/887 to get the sound working, I've tried this again and restarted but still no sound.

Please help thanks

I'm on 10.8.2 and I have the Creative Sound-Blaster X-FI USB sound card.
Once or twice in an hour it will stop producing sound and I have to reconnect the USB cable to activate again.

Davnozdu , what MacPro definition did you use? MacPro 3,1 or 5,1 ?

Thank you!
