10.8.2 Messenger not working (Store,Cloud and ITunes are!)

Hello,

I have just updated to 10.8.2, more or less sorted apart from messanger when i go to log in it comes up with my phone number and email address that is associated with my Apple ID but then comes up with an error 'Could not sign into iMessage ; The Server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later'

Any ideas?

I am having the exact same difficulty. iCloud works fine, iTunes works fine, App Store works fine, but iMessages does not work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
From my own research I've concluded that Apple has disabled iMessages on OS X for non Mac users. The Fix to this is apparently to confirm something with your serial number with Apple which indicates you own a Mac. So basically if you signed into Messages on your hackintosh you will not be able to sign back into it when disconnected.
