10.7.5 on a GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 F12 - how to get USB 3.0 back? Erase and install 10.8!
Hi all,
totally understandable that everyone is into running ML 10.8 and TB / Ivy bridge boards now,
but I have a great Hackintosh here running a
- 10.7.4 Lion
- GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 F12 board
- INTEL 250 GB/SSD
- 2 Barracudas in a OSX RAID (2 TB)
- Intel Core i7 OC'ed at 4,2 GHz
- XFX Radeon 6870
- 32 GB RAM
- Multibeast 4.7.0
used mainly as a Render Machine with Adobe After Effects CS5 and Apple Motion. USB 3.0 was running fine.
The thing is, we need some new Codecs which are available only on 10.7.5.
So after update to 10.7.5 USB3.0 is "gone"!!! Drives are actually shown in the System Information at Superspeed, but they don't mount on the desktop.
A current Sonnet PCI-e USB3.0 card didn't work, their 10.08b and 10.09b caused a lot of troubles. Also the Lacie 10.0.1 driver didn't help.
Any ideas?
We'd really need to have USB3.0 back.
thanks and cheers
