Hello, it has been a while. Now, everything I have been reading from people states that getting a GTX480 to work in 10.6.8 AKA Snow Leopard isn't an easy task. After a fresh install using a 9800GT, I removed the 9800GT and placed the GTX480 into the machine. Walla, everything is working.
Now, am I missing something?
Did I get lucky?
Did Apple add new drivers or GPU support that I wasn't aware of?

I do get the "splash" when using Dashboard. FCP7, Color 1.5 and CS6 all work and seem to using CUDA and/or OpenCL.

Thanks in advenced to anyone that chimes in and gives their experience and/or offers any advice.

id call u lucky
the 4xx gpu had some issues(fermi freeze)
but if it works leave it be..
that said u should update to lion at least for full support for your gpu...

Well, sometimes websites don't show everything correctly. As far as Freezes I haven't gotten any. I tried to get Lion to work, Sleep and USB3 never worked on that OS. So, I went back to Snow Leopard since I don't need Lion. But, I can't get sleep to work now.

Anything else that could potentially happen?
