Hi,

Since I updated to 10.14.4 from 10.14.3, I am no longer able to boot.

Before updating, I upgraded Clover to build 4911 using Multibeast and updated Lilu, WhateverGreen, AppleALC do latest version and did a reboot. Everything was flawless.

Then I installed the update through the Update Manager and the system no longer boots.

If I toggle dont reboot on panic and verbose mode, it looks like it is fully booted, then switch to a dark screen and sits there forever. No HDD activity. Without the "dont reboot on panic", it just reboot on that dark screen. I am unable to get a stacktrace of the error.

The system does boot fine if I do it in Safe Mode.

I attached my kexts list to this post

Thanks in advance !

Still havn't figured out how to get a stacktrace :(

Figured out! Here is the stacktrace. Doesn't list any kext sadly.

However it says : BSD process name corresponding to current thread: VTDecoderXPCServ

Thanks in advance

(I can't seem to find why the image is in the wrong side)

Figured out the issue. Figured out VTDecoderXPCService is related to GPU, then I ended up this thread and solving my issue : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...reen-with-headless-uhd-630-and-rx-580.274077/

Solution :

In clover :
InjectIntel: True
Remove ig-platform-id (0x59120003 in my case) (It fixes + it is not needed with WhateverGreen)
Remove IntelGFX(50198086 in my case)
Make sure you have WhateverGreen + Lilu. It will fix the slow IGPU loading and brings you full acceleration and decoding which can be confirmed by playing a 4k video sample in Quicktime and confirming that you have low CPU usage and that the video plays smoothly. Sample I used : https://4kmedia.org/sony-bravia-uhd-hdr-4k-demo/
