1.6.1 fails with "cp: cannot overwrite directory ... with non-directory ..."

Hi,

When I run the installer it generates a lot of errors in phase 2 and then fails. The errors are all of the form "./preinstall: cp: cannot overwrite directory /Volumes/USB/etc with non-directory /Volumes/Mac OS X Base System//etc". I have attached the install.log. I'd be grateful for any help MacMan can provide...

Looks like either your copy of ML is bad or the USB drive is bad.

I would first try to reformat the USB stick or try a different one.

If you still get the errors then download ML from the mac App Store again.
