Hi, I am new in Hackintosh.
I just completed the windows 10 installation on my dual boot system, and I noticed something, the GPU idle temperature on Catalina was much higher than on my windows 10. On macOS, the idle temperatures were about 50-57 °c , while on Windows 10, much lower at about...
I successfully installed Hackintosh on my new build. However, I do have an issue with the Corsair Hydro 150i Pro RGB.
I cannot see the fan speeds and also have no control over them. I'm watching the CPU temps with HWMonitor and for the fans speeds i'm using Macs Fan Control - and...
Hello everyone! I have a working 99% hackintosh, the GTX 1080 does not work, there are no drivers, and I do not read the cpu temperature, and the turbo boost does not work ... How can I do?
I've attached my EFI folder
The Coles Notes:
My CPU temperature has suddenly jumped from 72c to 99c at load.
Nothing has changed in my setup or BIOS! I’ve got the following system specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK

Hi, I have and Asus Vivobook (X556UV) with high sierra.
But my laptop stay always at 80° (With no program active) and arrive at 95°...
the cpu-fan is off and no programs detect it.
How can I active the fan?
I don't speak english so sorry for eventual errors :)
I followed all Rehabman's guide in High Sierra Laptop Support section. My hackintosh now run good (as my perspective).
I realize that my hackintosh run with quite high CPU temp. I'm running 2 tabs chrome with no video playing, so CPU temp is runnin around ˜49-51 degree. Idle is around...
First I wanted to thank this awesome community for helping me build a well-functioning Hackintosh.
However, after installing HWMonitor, I'm noticing an everlasting temperature difference between core 3 and all the other cores.
Here we can see that die 3 is consistently at a...
recently tried Linux Mint on my old 2008 iMac 20"
it installed fine, ran well enough, hardware worked etc.
Problem is - the iMac runs way hotter that it does on any Mac OS and,
even Win7, when slightly tweaked on the iMac, runs almost as cool.
Years ago i had overheating problems with various...
Hey guys, how's everyone?
So, I've got an i7 4790K, and it kinda runs hot.
I dualboot Win10 and Sierra.
One thing keeping me from really using Sierra is that I've found some issues with heat.
I was getting something close to 60 degrees Celsius, with low usage...
So I got another...

I recently bought and assembled a gaming hackintosh using the material on this site. The cooler I chose is the Corsair H60 AIO cooler. This has been my first experience using water cooling, and I'm wondering what the normal temperature response/behaviour is. I've attached a screen...
I've been running Linux without any problems, however when running macOS Sierra my temperatures are out of control. I've tried reading up on generating SSDTs, playing with "Enable C states" and "Enable P states" in clover, but none of this seems to help. It definitely isn't a cooling...
Hi, Im running sierra 10.12.4 and my cpu temp is around 38-46 c, gpu 36-40c (gtx960ti). I have stock cooler on the cpu. My cpu cooler become loud around 40.
I have two questions:
Are those temps ok for idling ? Is hwmonitor accurate?
When i disable SpeedStep from the bios, OS X doesn't recognise the overclock while if i boot Windows it works.
I could be wrong but SpeedStep seems to save a couple of degree celsius...

[SOLVED] CPU temperature not working
I'm running El Capitan on gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H with intel I3 4170. Everything works perfectly but the temperature monitoring. Just the HD temps appears.
Tried to use any app possible. none worked with cpu temps. The BIOS shows the temps, CPU and system...
I want to be able to see how fast my CPU cooler (H110i GT) and fans are spinning, as well as the chassis fans so that I can set up some fan curves. I've read that you can do that in HWMonitor. The problem is, mine doesn't my fans... I checked that it's the most up to date version too...
So, i had a Noctua NH-U14S, for internal space issues I bought an H90, but it's way much noisier than the old cooler and the cpu temperature is higher.
how can i solve those two problems? Can someone recommend a software to keep an eye on the temps?
Thanks in advance.
I think I'm getting false readings for the CPU Heatsink.
I've installed Yosemite and "FakeSMC v6.16.1372", "FakeSMC Plugins v6.16.1372" and "FakeSMC HWMonitor Applications v6.16.1372" using MultiBeast. Initially I only had "FakeSMC" installed but then I didn't get any readings at all from the...

Hi guys, I'm new to HWSensors / Monitors / Kexts as I am looking for a way to check my build temperatures / fans etc.
