Hi, I'm looking for a video card in a budgetary category to work with Mojave (and then also with Catalina). I have now pretty old GTX 260 and it's doesn't work with Mojave and pretty noisy after I had to replace its fan for non-original one. So I'm searching for one which would be at least not...
Hi, i wanted to share my experience with my Hackingtosh build regarding the Thunderbolt-Display. First of all yes it works. Not just the display but also FaceTime Camera, speakers and USB + Thunderbolt hub.
It took quite some time to get everything work most important these are the Parts that I...
I wanted to push watercooling to the most. Silent. Level. possible.
While gaming and also for working.
Quite a challenge and a lot to learn.
Thoughts on water-cooling:
It always depends on the use-case if water-cooling is more silent than air-cooling.
My personal experience:
Headphones (wired) go silent after wake up from sleep until re-pluged
Also, annoying background white noise as if the volume is being boosted too much, however the volume won't affect the noise level. I suspect this is a CodecCommander problem.
Attached some debug files that might...
I just installed Sierra and I can see that my actual graphic card, NVidia GT520 won't work.
I am then looking for advices to buy a new one that work with it. I am using usually two monitors (maybe three in the future), for audio and photography, no gaming. so I am wondering if the...
When it comes to fan noise of graphics cards, which one is most silent under load? (fanless models aside)

EVGE GeForce GTX 1050 (Ti) SSC
MSI GeForce GTX 1050 (Ti) Gaming
These are all equipped...
Hello! I am doing my first hackintosh build and I have some issues that I'd like some help with
I am building the pc for an audio production studio, so I need quiet components.
I've chosen a cpu cooler and a SPU that are not in the list, do you thing this is going to be a problem?
I'm looking to build my first ever Hackintosh now that my 2010 iMac is getting a little warm when under load in the summer and has already had one GPU replacement (likely mixture of quality and heat issues). As the machine will be in the lounge room noise is a factor. As I live in Brisbane...
I'm planning to create the ultimate hackintosh for music recording and performance. My audio setup is absurdly CPU intensive, and instead of reducing the awesomeness of my setup I've decided to just create an equally absurd computer.
But it's more complicated than that. I'm immobilized by...
I'm trying to find a decent build for my work. I've checked the buyer's guide, read the goldens builds and manys articles online about pc / builds stuffs. I'm not a pro concerning components but I know two or three things, I came up with the following build, can you tell me if it...
After being really happy with my mHack, I think of building a little media center. So I come for advice :)
My main concerns are to keep it small, quiet, with low power consumption and sleep/wake functioning properly (as it will almost never be shut down). It will be use to store & play...
Core questions are in pink, if you can only comment on some instead of all.
So the HDDs of my Mac Mini '11 are falling apart and I've been considering building my own because the perfect Mac for me doesn't exist. This will be my first time building a non-standard machine so half of the hardware...
I recently completed another Mac Cube mod. My previous Cube mods have never been satisfactory as I wanted to achieve the following:
Large storage capacity
This mod is largely a prototype for whether I could achieve all of the above and...
So, I recently installed El Capitan on my HDD and i'm stuck with the audio part now.
My CustoMac runs on an ASRock B75-Pro3-M with Realtek ALC892 chipset. In general my audio works just fine but since El Capitan, my sound starts crackling continuosly when i'm not playing any sounds...

Hi everybody, after the recent politics (almost impossible to upgrade) I decided to try the alternative way.
My work: Video editing 1080p (FC + Motion + Adobe stuff) + some 2D and 3D graphics/rendering + Windows 8 PRO (bootcamp or vmware) and MAYBE some gaming for my nephew.
