Hi, i just updated my old rig that was using perfectly stable macOS Sierra to Catalina 10.15.3, installation from the pen drive went well, the second boot to complete the installer from my SSD got a panic crash and shut down when the Apple loading bar was about to finish.
Got the installation...
I am running High Sierra 10.13.6, and everything is working fine apart from fan control. My fans are loud, cpu fan reacts to speedstep, but they are always loud. Considerably louder than when using MS Windows.
I have looked at countless articles and posts regarding this issue and...

I'm step by step making my way toward overclocking, but I'm new to the Hackintosh world. Today, as part of this project, I installed hwmonitor and learned I was stuck at 1.6 GHz on my i5-2500K, so I installed the SSDT for "Sandy Bridge Core i5" (description: "Optimized SSDT supporting Sandy...
So I recently, after uninstalling mountain lion for a couple of months, wanted to use ML again. This is the same system (Asus p8z68-v pro, Gtx 560 ti, and an i5-2500k) but the unibeast usb I installed will not even attempt to boot. Not even into the chimera bootloader screen! I'm at my wit's end...
Whatever I do, for every command I try it keeps freezing on the apple screen. I can not get to the installer.
I took a picture of the problem in verbose mode. I'm kind of new to this game but know a bit. Please help.
Has anyone here managed to get the HD 3000 on the i5-2500k chip (vendor 0x8086 device ID 0x0112) working without hacks? Despite Chameleon having support for the HD 3000 chips I've found that with or without GraphicsEnabler the GPU is still detected as 0x0112 by the OS and a DSDT hack is required...
